Joe, you inspired me to ask.... since despite starting lessons, I still have that problem. My wife and I have 3 cars now, and 2 of them are stick. Which is why she's gonna learn.

Last night, my wife had her friend up to visit. She doesn't know how to drive stick either. I participated in the Guinness drinking, but I had to pass up the round of car bombs and shots. Then they both fell asleep in the car on the way home.

They're lightweights...

It's never a bad thing to learn how to drive a stick. It can come in handy even if not just for "designated driver" duty.

My sis went on a ski trip once and hurt her leg. Her car was a stick. Only one of the two girls with her had a "slight" clue" of how to drive a stick. It was an interesting ride home, if I recall correctly.

Well, quite easily actually. I like Guiness I remember a thread about guiness so i typed in guiness as a search in this forum and voila there it was.
