yep easy to open em up. oven at 125 degrees put your headlight on a wet towel on a baking sheet. Pull them out at 10 minutes and take a screwdriver wedge it into the goop get it started just a bit than its all finger work from there. Wear gloves and pull when the goop cools a bit pop it back in the oven and than reapeat. While between visits into the oven use a paint stir stick or equiv to hold what you have spread open to that point open. There are locking tabs that you pull open while the light is hot and those are good starting points for your seperating.

Good luck, a bunch of us have done it we had a big headlight clearing meet last spring at a members house.

thats a pic of mine done, bad pic i know

I followed the directions in the link below.

http://www.ricks2k.com/info/instructions/diffuser.pdf

My only suggestion is to be careful when prying the cover off. You may get half of the headlight apart before it cools too much and becomes difficult. I had to put mine back in the oven to warm it back up. Otherwise it went exactly as planned.

Good luck!!

If I ever cracked my lights open it would be to install a xenon high beam.
We have them in the wife's S class... oooohhhh

Some kid with a silverstone had them when I first got my S back in 02. I think he had some that were plug and play. I already find the high beams on the S brighter and more useful than most cars I have driven. What are you trying to illuminate, the other side of the world?
