me and my buddy Corey are going to charge lunch to the company today

BUT we need some buzz words for the reason of the expense

something like this

Submit the receipt with the following explanation:

It is our hope that we will be reimbursed for this lunch because we got crap raises and benefits stink. We did try to only take the allotted lunch hour, but if we exceeded that time, not to worry, we'd only be in the office surfing the internet anyway.

That should get their attention!

Before you use the "empower the employees" phrase be sure that is the tact your company is taking - because it would stink if you had a meeting on how to empower the employees and your management wanted to keep the employees powerless and in the dark. Something like this might work..... "this offsite lunch meeting was to discuss, at a high level, the acquisition of our newest venture and the impact it will have directly on the accounting department. We are being proactive and working to identify any areas of cost involvements or expenditures. Once those areas identified we can then begin to drill down to the next level of process improvement." Basically said - We had lunch, talked a bit about what's new and what's happening and how much it's going to be a pain in the a**, so here - pay our bill.
