Default Help from you smart computer guys

I got this message twice about an SIS graphics error.

Does it mean anything?

I'd start by reinstalling the graphics chip drivers. I think SIS makes lots of motherboard integrated graphics solutions.....

Who maunfactured the computer, what operating system?

I know not of what you speak.

I had the computer built by a local computer guy I use for work, operating system is Windows XP Home.

Can I pick up what I need from that web site I linked you to?

(I can always call the guy tomorrow).

Could this have anything to do with downloading something call Virtools Web Player Plug in?

I downloaded that last night in order for the granddaughter to play some games on NickJr.com. After that the computer locked up and was weird for a bit.

I found the SIS driver in my device manager. It says it's working properly.

Could it just be a weird funky computer Windows thing?

When was the last time you cleaned your cache, temporary internet files out? Sounds like you need to give that thing a good flush Also when was that last time you ran your disk defragmenter?

The computer is fine this AM. Not sure what the heck that message was about. I do "clean house" every now and again, so it's not that long ago since I did most of the things you mentioned.. I will check to see if it needs to be de-fragmented.

Thanks guys!

At least you do it

The owner of my mortgage company hadn't done his pretty much ever and it took about 4 days to clean it out. Defrag alone to over a day...
