They do, but when I pull the trigger on a welder, it's going to be an expensive one.

School starts soon. Call your local vocational school and ask if your repair can be a little project for the automotive or welding class.

You never know....

I went to a Voc tech school. I am a staunch supporter of their programs, but I would never ever ever bring my vehicle there for anything. I know all to well what those kids do when the teacher's back is turned.

We're talking the LeBaron here.

OK. Suggestion two. Bass signs up for the welding class at the adult ed in the fall, and does his own repair.

There were tons of guys taking welding, carpentry, electrical, when I went to the local Voke for the Excel course.

Of course, the course, may cost more than paying a welding shop to do the repair.
