Default Hey Guys

Hey Guys,

My name is David I'm from the DelVal region, I'll be visiting a friend this weekend that attends Northeastern.

I was just wondering if theres any meets this weekend incase I run out of things to do/wouldn't mind to meet some fellow S owners. I have searched and did not come up with anything.

Also this is my first time driving up to Boston. How safe is it for me to leave my car out on the street around the Northeastern area? I'm not too concerned about it but it did cross my mind.

Thanx, David.

I dont think there's to many meets this time of the year due to salt on the roads and such. Everyone is just taking there's cars out now after storing them all winter. If ya find anything let us know though ill make the drive down

Not everyone......I've been on the road- albeit in reasonably good weather- all winter.

David;

Hopefully someone will jump in that lives in that area [I live 30 miles North of Boston] and give you better advice but, for what it's worth, here's my/our 2 cents.

My wife went to Simmons College which is near Northeastern. She says that there is virtually no on-street parking in that area. Even if there was she would never leave a "good" car on the street. There are paid parking lots around and Northeastern also has parking lots [but permits are probably needed for them] that are safe or at least safer. My wife suggests you talk to your friend and see if you can possibly use a Northeastern lot.

Good luck

I kind of looked into it they have payed lots which is fine with me but some of them close at 10p.m. I guess I will just see what the situations is when I get there and go from there. My car is nothing special but I would hate to walk outside and have my wheels or seats missing. I doesn't seem like the place that much thievery occurs, I guess I shall see what happens. I might be updating this thread Saturday night looking for set of wheels or a seat lol.

Also the weather looks like it going to be ok so the bald direzza's are staying on

I attended Wentworth (right next door) and know that that area has many break ins. There's a parking garage that's cheap, but it's near Wheelock college, which is about a 15-20 minute walk. Not bad, IMO, but it's definitely a walk.

There should be overnight parking in the lots. Perhaps they "close" and don't allow people coming in?
