wtf???!!! i can't figure out this damn thing

What won't it do? I called sprint and verified a few things and it works fine. Don;t go too crazy setting the phone up unless you are bored on the flight because when I flash the new ROM into it, everything starts fresh.

I might get to work on the ROM tomorrow night. I was hoping to do some tnight, but John came over and we molded my screen into the bezel and got all the way to the texture coating. I am going to finish it tomorrow during the day. Thank heavens for John. I am handy with fiberglass, but no where near his level. I got more done with his help in 5 hours than I would have gotten in 2 days alone!

Steve, curiosity and the mod bug got the best of me.

I already unlocked the phone and I am flashing the GPS radio to it now.

Depending on how long it goes, I may get to run the kitchen tonight too

At some point. I have way too much on my plate right now trying to get the dash and carPC finished for the weekend. Once things slow down I can take some pics of the phone and some screen shots of the new ROM working. I am still testing the ROM I designed for it and anticipate that I will switch some stuff around and cook another one before I settle on it. that way I have all the bugs out before I flash it to Steve's phone too.

I will say that the HTC Vogue (aka Sprint Touch) phone Steve and I got gets awesome reception, is very small/thin for a PPC phone and has a very cool silky finish to the outside. The touchsecreen is not recessed like the XV6700 I migrated from, which was the Vogue's predecessor along with the Titan/Mogul. the camera is 2.0 megapixel which isn't great by today's standards, but I found it to take really decent pics.


I am still in shock that I am only paying $30/mo for unlimited data (which is blazing fast, faster than my cable connection at times) and a great voice package to boot with unlimited texting!
