Thanks for your support. I'm still going to physical therapy 3-4 times a week. Last week I tried getting on a stationary bike and it turns out it was a bit of a mistake. I'm hoping in another couple of weeks I'll be able to get on and do some revolutions. Monday I got my prosthetic piece for my foot/ ankle. It goes under my foot and helps bring my foot up as well as down since I still have little control over my foot. Yes, the sneakers are new. Size 15 only on my left, my right is still normal at size 13. I'm still wearing a knee brace and unfortuanetly still hobbling around on crutches.
I'm spending my time reading and lately my wife and I have become addicted to the tv show Heroes. We've been renting the DVD's. As for the bike, I'm slowly putting one together. I've gotten all the pieces, but still need to pick up some wheels. I'm thinking some Mavic Ksyiums or something. Should be 17- 18lbs when done.
Yes, he showed at the second court date. I'm not sure what's going on now. My lawyer asked me what I wanted to do i.e. two choices
1- try for him to spend time in jail, meaning go to prison
2- ask for him to go to rehab classes
The judge has the ultimate decision. This is his first offence, meaning an option is to go to some sort of AA class.
I told the lawyer that I would rather see him get help, not jail time (which might only be a week to a month). If he were to go to the class he would also have to admit that he did indeed do what he was charged with. Chances are he wouldn't lose time at work (if still employed) which means he would have higher assets and his house etc. would be tied up for a lawsuit.
