so what's your final impressions on the 4.77s??

 

LOVE THEM!!!!

I still need to get the yellow box perfect. I am within 1% now. I want it good to under 1%. I can launch at 2k with NO issues of bogging. I almost don't even need to rev the car to get going. Really is going to save my clutch!

I can launch around corers and give nice light wheel spin. 2nd and 3rd gear around corners under power will push the rear end out. Car pulls around town and in every gear THAT MUCH HARDER!! No need to install cam's or other aftermarket stuff to stress the engine harder. Stick a set of these in there and HOLD ON!

Highway speeds at 80mph is a little bit much to get used to though 73 is a nice crusing speed for them.

I still(old diff and new diff) have a stupid shake of the rear end under power going straight not in corners which would be inner CV joints. So I really don't know what that is coming from as it is only under power and at higher speeds. Baffles me.

Overall a major !!! Recomend it to everybody? NO. Though if you could put the stock gear ratio back for 6th I would!!!

I am very glad that I have it in the car. Though over the past week I didn't drive it like virtually at all. Due to rain/ fireworks shows/ vacation with the gf and the kids.

Jenner is paid up so your good. Oh and all I have to say is ONE MORE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

sounds great.. Glad you like them.. i was a little concerened with highway speeds since most of my travel is on the highways.. now the question - do i call Jenner and talk him down a bit for his 4.44s -

I think the one more day and the OTHER thing are one in the same. Yea one more day till the weekend. Yea that's it the weekend.

Your choice on what to do with Jenner. I want no part of the thing. Though remember he has in there a Kazz diff!!!!(I think it went in) So you need to regularly change the diff oil(like every 3-4k) or it will fry up! Talk with him about that though.

 

G-luck JIM! Can you take me for a spin in your car, I am thinking of getting the 4.44s. I do way too much highway driving (usuall b/w 80-85) so I dont think I would like the 4.77s.
