The car feels geat BUT all the folks who go out of their way to help you have a GREAT time with the car (drives, tech days, wash days, dinners) makes the car feel 100* BETTER...

Expect to get noticed, not only by other S2K owners but car enthusiasts, kids and women. There's a woman in my office buildilng who barely nodded when passing in the hall for several years. When she saw my car, she started talking to me about it. You'll find very different handling from the rear wheel drive than you have from front wheel drive. Get sunscreen. If not before you get the car, after that first long ride on a sunny day when you get out of the car with a bight red face. Get used to smiling when you drive. Really smiling! And as the other guys noted, get used to having a new group of freinds.

Pure, unadulterated, automotive bliss...

3 seasons later and I still have a smile on my face after every drive.

coming from a heavily modified Audi...the stock S2000 is amazing. I love the car. I barely drive the Audi now that the weather is nice. The best thing you can do is drive one. Or drive more than one. Compare AP1's to AP2's. I drove a friend's AP1 and bought one about a month or 2 later.

Stock '06 here, first time owner. I must say if you enjoy performance cars, this will make you smile allot. This is truly a world class sports car and Honda's best kept secret.
Every time I drive, I smile at the great feeling you get going around corners, accelerating etc......
The biggest difference between an AP1 and an AP2 is the red line. AP1's (my 2000 to 2003) have a 9000rpm red line, the AP2 (2004 to 2007) have an 8000rpm red line. The older cars are a little more raw, the newer cars are a little more refined and have extras you do not find in AP1's. Like VSA (vehicle stability assist), some changed styling points, improved audio system (but still not where it should be).

What both have is the wonderful New England community of S2k drivers that run many meets/drives that are truly fun.

you have to keep in mind that most of the people here have a second car for the winter. yes some people put winter tires and drive around in the winter, but it is NOT fun and the abuse you put the car though i.e. salt and snow is not worth it IMHO.

We are part of the folks around here, but age doesn't seem to be a factor. We have enjoyed ourselves at every meet, dinner, tech day, etc.

The people we have met have played a big part in how much we have enjoyed the S. While not a garage queen (we have no garage), our S is a summer only car. We have an 04 with 29K miles of fun on it and counting.......
