Default How's your commute?

So what do you encounter on your daily commute to work?

I don't have much of a commute, not much traffic. I encouter the usual school bus and the most annoying part of the drive is traffic at about a gazillion Dunkin' Donut drive throughs .

Rick called me this AM to let me know his commute involved coming to a complete stop for some wild turkeys. So much better than what some of you guys deal with.

today my fat cat Mitzy was on the stairs so it held me up a good ten seconds or so until i got her to move. I reached my basement office ten seconds late.

Love the answers. We lucked out on the floods, the cat wasn't in my way, and I don't pocket dial people.

Bass someone else must be your most recent call. I haven't heard from you lately.

i have a 20 mile, 80% backroad commute. I dont mind it at all, its actually pretty scenic consists of 1 stop sign and 2 stop lights and NO traffic whatsover, except for the occasionnaly typical slow NH driver who decides to drive below the posted limit which can get aggrevating, but that gives me some fun vtech passing time when I get to a passing zone. The frost heaves were pretty bad this winter which also slowed me down a bit. other then that its pretty smooth sailing.

About 3.5 miles in the car. A few traffic lights and the rotary I go through isn't really bad. I get in ahead of the most traffic by arriving for 8:00 am. I usually miss the school buses.

The last couple days, I've ridden the bicycle. Riding over I-91 puts the sun right in my eyes making it hard to see the curb. I wear this to be as visible as possible. Coming off the bridge over the Connecticut River in the afternoon, I enter a different rotary and the road gets pretty narrow and hectic.

I may have the shortest......1.8 miles. I leave for work at 7:57...get to work at 8:00 or 8:01 depending on if I catch a light. I often don't remember when I last got gas....and my tank ain't that big.

Erin's in 11 miles.....she stops for turkeys too.
