I failed
So I volunteered to be a "drinker" for the state police academy to be a DUI test candidate.
8 beers in ~2 hours put me at .145. I failed the field sobriety tests miserably. I was tested on 10+ groups of recruits and they kept laughing at me as I fell over again and again.
Eye/Pen test - fail
9 step test - fail
One leg test -fail
Good thing is this, they way I was feeling I would not have driven anyways

I'd fail the one leg test, even stone sober.
using that in therapy for my knee now and we discovered I have really bad ankles.
I struggle to balance at all.

However, my concern is often the driver who though may have a tolerance for alcohol, is still legally drunk. Did they test you at various stages where you might have felt you were "OK to drive" only to find out you were legally drunk?
You can't be "just a little" legally drunk, anymore than you can be just a "little bit pregnant." Legally drunk, is legally drunk, and you can land in a world of sheit if you have even a fender bender, have a tail light out, or obviously get into a serious accident.
Designated driver FTW. Marry one if you have to.

They bought beer, they bought food, an Officer drove me home.
I drank captain and then Miller Lite once I was above the legal limit.

I hope you don't feel sore in the morning though
