Default I have an idea

Ok so very few of us like to keep the car stock, but the only people who enjoy all the mods to our cars are ourselves. We can talk and talk all day about it, but you never get to experience it!

So here's my suggestion, improvise and improve where you can. This is simply a brainstorming exercise.

At some point in time at some place we can do a sort of car 'swap'. This doesn't necessarily mean that you give someone your keys and off they go. But maybe just take someone for a ride with you so they can feel your car and compare to theirs. Let them feel how your car drives, the sound of your engine, the effect of your modifications, blah blah blah.

I for one have never been in an AP2, and S with an exhaust, a lowered car etc. Some of these things I'd like to experience first hand, but for numerous reason can not.

What does everyone think? Has something like this ever been done before?

?

PS, let's do our best to keep this on track. I already have day-dreams we will wind up talking about cats or something.

Possibly, it could turn into a discussion of your mods. The biggest goal is to learn more about your car and the different effects of modifications. Good or bad.

isn't that what this board is all about?

and i know 99% of the folks would take you for a ride at a meet to let see what the mods do if you just ask them

Yes they would, but the meets already have planned activities which make it hard for a little trip. The people are not the problem, it's the lack of time I guess.

I agree the boards are a great place to talk about it, but there's nothing like being there yourself IMO.

Yeah, we do stuff like this all the time. I drove Ben's car on the highway and Kevkranker's AP2 at an autocross. I think if you want to have a "trade your car day" you can just pick a date and post it up.

Good, we'll give it a shot in the springtime then!

Unless people want to have a "Try my S in the snowstorm" meet
