i have a wood problem
i guess they say admitting it is the first step
i sometimes walk out to my wood pile and play with the pieces and smack them together to see what they sound like (thud means not ready but crack means they are ready) then i look at my piles and I think i don't have enough (maybe a reverse anorexic type thinking)
i have another load of logs coming this weekend and i called two other guys to drop off about 8 cords of logs more
from the S obsession to a wood obsession
i think it's a sickness but i guess it could be worse - i could be addicted to i don't know hookers or something

Oh I've got it - NL.
Well you'll be laughing at all of us during the winter when we're yammering on about oil costs and you're sitting there with your front yard full of wood.

NL in her bathrobe and Steve in his cap, had just settled in for a long winters nap, when out on the lawn there arose such a clatter they sprang from their bed to see what was the matter. With a little

Don't want to see Bass and NL in their PJ's settling in for a nap.Bass, how long will this wood last you? I mean, will you still have this wood when you're ready to retire? If so, good for you. Old guys need wood too.

if kept dry it should last 5 years to ten years - any longer it starts to get "punked" and there's nothing left to burn

haven't had that problem yet but from what i've read termites like dry wood like lumber not firewood (ideal firewood is 15% to 20% moisture content) and they do provide BTUs when burning
