We'll call it a personality conflict. After today, no need to go there, IMO.

[QUOTE=CTMechE,Apr 3 2008, 05:02 PM]I'm an Eagle Scout, and being prepared is just a good habit. And I'm not some crazy constitution-waving conservative, but I get rather pissed that more and more people tend to view a small pocket knife as a weapon.

Very nice. I've wanted to get a Benchmade for quote some time. I had a room mate with an axis lock Benchmade and I really liked it.

I love my benchmades. I have 3, actually. Went through a lot of knives over the past 12 years...Benchmades are the only ones that have stuck around for anything over 6mo - 1yr. The 710 I've had for 5 or so years now, the 960 for almost a year.

If you're in the market, pick up the 960. Aluminum body and it's only a 3in blade so it weighs next to nothing - I can't even hardly tell when I'm carrying it as opposed to the massive 710...

Aah, you young whippersnapper I remember when Cokes (in 7 oz. glass bottles) were 5 cents in the machines. And matinee movies were .50. And gas was about 18 cents a gallon (before I had to buy any). And you could go to a diner and get two coffees and a couple of hard rolls for .50. And a gallon of Friendly's Ice cream was .79. Damn! I'm getting old.

Yeah, everything was cheaper. But, so were wages. All a wash I guess.

I can remember as a kid collecting a dozen bottles for the return deposit to get 24 cents to go get a gallon of gas so we could drive the car around in the field for an hour.
