Default Inspection

Whats up, I currently have a test pipe and a cat back exhaust and within the next few weeks my car will be turbod with a Aem ems 1052, I live in attleboro, Mass. As most of you will know I will not be able to pass inspection, I am looking for someone that could get me a inspetion sticker!!! Willing to pay=)
Hopefully someone can help me.
Thanks Jordan

good luck - unless you know someone these days it will be next to imposable to get a sticker -

most shops wont risk their license to do inspections and if caught their 60k equipment becomes useless

AEM makes it a real problem. Test pipe and catback are no issues as long as your CEL isn't popping.

Good luck but I'll agree with Bass. Every shop I knew that used to look the other way will no longer do it after being caught.

Dude, I really care less, but I want to give you a warning so you know what can happen because I don't want to see you get in trouble.

Here is the two things that can happen:

1) you don't get a sticker and MAYBE get caught and get a $50 fine

2) you put the sticker that doesn't belong on your car, get caught and charged with a felony (which is arrestable)

every time you are stopped or your plate is run the resigtaration status will show if/when you got a sticker and the result (pass/fail) and the id # of the shop that gave it.

If your car has a valid sticker on it and the registration say you don't, it's not a good thing.

There is really no way to beat this because the ECM has to be plugged into the machine via OBDII when you test and it read your VIN. If the VIN inputted for the sticker doesn't match the one in the ECM, it fails.

My advice would be to just take the old sticker completely off your car so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb and hope for the best and be prepared to pay the tickets if you get stopped.

It isn't worth the chance of the felony to avoid a $50 fine.

Just my opinion and the best advice I can give you.

Jordan, I'm modded too and my Brother owns a shop which does inspections here-he can't do it for ME! Advice-get inspected now before AEM. Each year I have to go to my tuner and have him change back to OEM injectors and EMU. Have to drive about 30-40 miles Very slow to let the EMU learn. Then get it inspected- it will breeze thru! Then right back to tuner to switch back (about an hour in the shop at each end) To me for the performance it's well worth it.
