Default Kennedy update

I just hear on the news that Sen. Kennedy's surgery on his brain cancer was described as successful.

Much to the chagrin of some his right wing detractors, his brain surgery did not involve a transplant.

no malice is intended here and I hope the senator or anyone suffering with cancer, make a full recovery.

I will refrain from any political commentary regarding him because it seems to be a personal thing to speak about this guy.

I am happy to hear that the guy at least had a good surgery.

Honestly, my dislike of Ted Kennedy isn't really beacuse I'm conservative. I'd feel the same way about him if he was a Republican Senator. It's really just him, though.

But at least the surgery was a success, hopefully his recovery progresses well. He needs to get back to saving the world, after all...

I too am happy for he and his family that he had what should be a good outcome to surgery. I try to wish no ill or illness upon anyone.

BUT, I'm also a bit cynical about this situation. If you or I had been diagnosed with this illness in the past two-three weeks, I wonder if we would have received such prompt treatment, and/or had such extensive treatment options to get surgery in NC, given all the restrictions many of us have on our health insurance.

Money talks, I guess......just sayin'.

Not a chance in hell any of us would get the same treatment.

I've been hospitalized twice in the last 9 months, both times immediately after going to the ER. And I'm not a Kennedy.

I'm not sure I've ever seen so many cynics as there are around here.
