thats frikkin awesome i wish i had a 12v power wheels when i was young!
I wish I had ANY powerwheels when I was young. I kept seeing 'em around, but my parents never got one for us.

I guess with the newbie arriving in a few weeks, I'll have to start reconsidering reasons not to buy the toys I never had and live vicariously....

Jeff, do you have a wiring diagram for the bike battery conversion? the powerwheels 6v battery on our F150 died and instead of replacing that with another 6v, I wouldn't mind doing the 12v swap now.

Not even going to try something as complicated as in that link. Very impressive but Jr. already gave up on the powerwheels in favor of his Honda and Cam is leaning more toward the bike now too. I just want to get a little bit more mileage out of the powerwheels until we retire it.
Jeff, From what I read, you can go from 6 to 12 without wiring madness. I cut the connector off my 6v and bolted it to the battery.

I picked a battery that would fit into the small space, sealed, and would take a charge from my car battery charger. I'm sure you can do better online, but I spent 31 bucks on it.

My friends bought my son a Kawasaki ATV for his 1st birthday.

One of the first things out of my mouth is I wonder how long it will take before I mod this thing?

Tempting....non functional = bad battery? or motor/gear drive problems?

BTW...these powerwheels seem to take a 540 style motor....this is the same size most 1/10 electric R/C cars use. That may be able to be modded too.

The neighbors have a set of these ATVs....would be cool to one up them.

Now that would be a regular riot. Beats the piss out of soapbox derby days.
