Good point about the Wal-marts. As a community service they will allow campers in their parking lots overnight for free.
Based upon how close it is to the track, I can see why they don't offer the service, because I just know come a NASCAR weekend those people would fill up the entire lot with their RV's.

Wow! Fast replies! Thanks for the tips everyone, I will have a look through all the links and see what I can dig up.
We are picking up the RV on the 10th and will be making our way to Niagra after that, with not much planned in between.

I had heard about the use of Wal Mart's but I didn't realise that they (mostly) all just let you use them free of charge, I thought it was a bit hit and miss. Good to know in case you can't find a camp site for any reason!

For the record, I don't think the Wal-Marts offer any power/water hook ups. You'd be on your own for that. Got a generator in the RV?

My parents used them mostly when they were doing the actual traveling, in otherwords if their final destination was South Carolina, at night they would just stop at a Wal-Mart to do dinner, relaz and spend the night. The up early the following morning to get back onto the road.
