This general lack of regard towards other members is what causes a community to go into decline, not seeing continual growth.

IF I am wrong about what I believe motivates Ellen and Mark, than I am wrong. Could be. Not the way I see it, but it IS a possibility that I do accept. I would say that I have more of a chance being wrong about Mark's motive however if anything.

I am off to school now so I can't review the thread (and won't because I don't dig for old threads like Doug looking for a quote to prove someone wrong), but I am quite sure I remember Mark seriously asking for a position and Ellen, it doesn't take a data analyst to read between the lines of your posts. It's no big deal if that is your goal, I just think it is.

When it comes down to it, my opinion does not matter. I post what I think is right and you can take it or leave it.

 

You need to review the threads because all I ever said
was that I would be CO of NH, and we all know there is
no such thing as a CO of a particular state in NE. So, if you
choose to take that as an official plea to take over either
Bill's or Cubby's position, then that's your perogative,
as wrong as it may be.

For the record, what "motivates" me is the betterment of
this group of people and the love of the S2000 in general
and I think one way to do that is to make it as easy as
possible for anyone visiting the forum to see what meets
are available and hopefully participate.

I don't care about gold stars or titles or any of that BS.

I DO care, however (as I'm sure Ellen does) when I am
accused of something that just isn't true and perpetuating
the National Enquirer-like gossip about what Ellen and I
or anyone else has for "motivation" is not going to make
this a better group for all involved. Again it's your issue
if you are going to psychoanalyze and "read between the
lines" of every post in this forum looking for some hidden
agenda or some sophisticated plot to overthrow the NE forum.

 

I think if everyone slowed down they would realize a few things

1: Bill is prob tired of being CO and wants a change
2: A co does wayy more than just sticky and unsticky threads
3: Notice I have not posted all afternoon just reading the bickering amongst us is entertainment enough!
4: I am one of the people that cried for a thread to get stickied, but allow me to explain what one and why. The noreaster is the one and why you wonder. The Noreaster is NE's premiere event it has 10 or more people meeting for many months making plans,phone calls,meeting with hotels,planning drives,picking menus,lining up hotels, etc. So therefore countless hours of preparation and meeting time have gone into it. Why is all of this done its done to enrich our community and to build comraderie within the group and nationally to show off our area and hospitality. With all of this being done I FELT we should showcase it. So I whined for it to be stickied. After taking a lot of abuse for my request because apparantly I didnt request it properly Bill conceeded that I was correct and yesterday Stickied it. Since than we have had a few threads and a whole lot of CO discussions going on. Frankly I think everyone is way over reacting on it. If we as a community cannot showcase our premiere event and be hospitable to everyone without bickering amongst ourselves than why did we bother even coming up with the event in the first place.
5:I still wanna be CO of Maine and if needed I would welcome a CO job and no its not a power trip for me couldnt care less for me its about giving back to a community that I care about and has been very helpful to me. Furthermore we are a great group of people. I dont think there is a forum on s2ki or the internet even that is as tight as we are. There are a ton of friendships on here that are truly amazing and we welcome everyone with open arms. I would like to see it continue as in todays world its a rarity and something we all should be proud to be a part of!

 

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that IF Bill is looking for a change, it's been caused by all this unnecessary BS. Just my opinion.
