Default Long weekend!

Hard to believe 4th of July weekend is here!

Weather looks great.

We have grandkids tomorrow. We are having a couple friends over for dinner tomorrow night, Sunday is ours to spend as we wish. Monday we may take off or hang around the house, not sure yet, and for supper we'll have Mom, my aunt and another couple over for burgers. None of them cook out for themselves anymore, so they enjoy a burger cooked on the grill and hanging out on the deck on the 4th.

We might take off somewhere in the S on Sunday...maybe we should take the bikes out for a spin too. It's been a while. Hope I don't need training wheels.

Hope you all enjoy the holiday weekend. What are you up to?

Might hit up the drive-in in Milford NH tonight. $20 gets your car in and the double feature is Transformers + Super 8. Figured I wanted to see both and with two people it works out to only $10 each or $5 per film.

No major plans for the rest of the week. Maybe catch some fireworks on the 4th.

Wife might have to work tomorrow, which means solo parent duty. It's a bit frustrating, since it means I can't get any projects done, and since we've had the house only 5 days longer than we've been parents, there are a LOT of projects that need to get done. She's salaried, so it's not an overtime thing... just an issue with the company being understaffed, which is the frustration.

I haven't even washed the S2000 this year. It's filthy, inside and out. (although the oil is clean, that's the important part)

I'll probably see my parents one of the days, but otherwise I'm hoping for some relaxation and a bit of productivity around the house.

I'll be wrapping up work early today, then heading to the Providence Place Mall for a movie date with the Mrs. (probably Bad Teacher, or Cars 2, but there's also Transformers and Larry Crowne. Decisions decisions.) and then a chocolate fondue dessert at the Melting Pot.

Saturday is a day of drinking a good friends cold home brew straight from his home taps as we change my differential fluid and transmission fluid, maybe some grillin, then a nice drive probably.

Sunday is the spectator drag races and demo derby at Seekonk Speedway in Seekonk, MA. Ending with fireworks. A friend's friend built a demo car so that should be fun to watch, and I can shoot photos of fireworks since I missed the opportunity last year nephew-sitting.

To wrap up my weekend on Monday will be a family cookout in Bellingham then catching the Bellingham fireworks show and shooting more photos (they always have a great show).

Then it's back to work

Have a good holiday everyone!!

I picked up my first DSLR, Canon T1i w 18-55mm EFS kit lens... I have used higher end P&S in the past w/ hit or miss results but always wanted a DLSR and finally caved to at least get an entry level to start to learn photography.

Shameless plug? You have some awesome shots in your portfolio Jesse!
