Thumbs up Looking for a free photo program with RAW support

Anyone know of a simple photo viewer that has RAW plug in support? Im looking for something i can DL onto my work laptop to view a bunch of RAW format files. I have so damn many I need to just delete old shots that were bad and have no reason to keep, as well as find ones worth working on.

I dont need any editing ability, I will do that at hom in PS.

Thoings are slow in the office this month. I need something productoive to do.

For simple picture viewing, I like Irfanview.

I didnt realize Picasa had RAW support. Have they always? I used to have it and I was sure it didnt.

Ive heard good things about Lightroom. I DLed a copy awhile back for trial purposes... Havent gotten around to it.

I will look into Irfanview too. Just DLed Picasa and I didnt even need to pull a Nikon plugin like I did with PS.

Thanks JT.

I have Photoshop CS, it is more than I can handle right now so CS2 or 3 can wait.

might be a fairly new thing

http://picasa.google.com/support/bin/answe...en&answer=15625

Picasa currently supports RAW images from most of the cameras by the following manufacturers:

Canon (CRW, CR2)
Nikon (NEF)
Olympus (ORF)
Pentax (PEF)
Kodak (DCR)
Sony (SRF)
Minolta (MRW)
Fuji (RAF)
Adobe (.DNG)

EXIF data from RAW images is only supported with CRW files that have associated .THM files.

At this time, we do not support RAW images from the following cameras:

Kodak P850 (KDC)
FUJI S5200-S5600 (RAF)
OLYMPUS E-300, E-500 (ORF)
