Default LOOKING TO GET GROUP TOGETHER FOR SOFTTOP INSTALL!

Hey New England Area,

A couple members and myself from Upstate/Metro NY are looking to replace our softtops in the near future so Im looking to get a count on who else/how many others would be interested.

@Lazy_s2k a.k.a. SOFTTOPGUY has given us the great opportunity and easy solution to this..

He is willing to fly up from N.C. for a weekend (Hopefully March 31st/April 1st) and knock a few tops out, If we can get a few others to join in on this. Going to keep this simple until we start getting a count and some other info.

If any/all questions regarding pricing/material send a PM to @lazy_s2k

Will Update this thread with more info as we hash things out

Lets make this happen!

Rather than having to PM him, why not post all the info public?

Still hashing that out as we speak. Dont want to throw out invalid info.. He can give a direct answer.

Right now we are planning on getting together in Upstate NY March 31st/April 1st. Pricing varies depending on AP1/AP2 and what type of top/material you want.

I can say with 100% confidence his prices cannot be beat and he does the install himself much faster/effiecent then anyone else can. All work is warranteed as well.

I will update post with any information I get

$1080? Not bad. I have an AP2. Same price for me? I would be coming from Boston, but if the price is good and the guy can actually do a good job installing it, I am in. What's so special about the top you have in that picture, its not vynil or some? Kind of like Vynil, easier to use, longer lasting, and no need to DE-lint all the time lol

Hey @EOE

You have the choice of getting any material/top you want, the Robbins "Stayfast" Top seems to be the most popular top for us AP1's trying to get a glass window.

There is the twillweave=$980 (Which is very similar to OEM) and then there is "stayfast" (Pictured above). From my understanding the stayfast material is much more durable and lasts a little longer, and he personally recommended it to us because he has done many of these install's before and said the look is very clean.

For the most accurate info and pricing... PM @Lazy_s2k he will give you everything you need to know. If you do decide to want in just let us know on here so we can get a head count and keep the ball rolling.

Thanks for the interest!

E0E, yours being an Ap2 is just a tad bit more. But I tell you what!! I'll do it for $1080 INSTALLED! you can be the 3rd person! The StayFast fabric is much more durable than our Factory OEM fabric, also it's a way better look much darker and richer look. Pretty much the same stuff that are found on Porsche and BMW. Either one you go with you'll be given the same WARRANTY. I personally love the StayFast top and will be installing one on my own car over the factory top. I recommend it to all my customers. You won't be disappointed.

Give me a PM and we can talk.

Thanks,

Sounds good. I will be in contact once my car is back on the road. I will PM you.

The only thing I am concerned is you keep saying Fabric, OEM top is Vynil. So if you could just specify what this is made of. Also where can I see different top choices and pricing? Or you strictly work with that top I see on the yellow AP2 above.
