Default Looking for Point & Shoot with viewfinder

This is my grandson, Ryan. He is showing an interest in taking pics with me, and I /> it.

He is using my old Olympus point and shoot. It's getting tired. Bought a battery (after market) but it doesn't hold a charge well. Wonder if anyone has a gently used digital point and shoot with a viewfinder they are looking to sell? He likes the viewfinder! It need not have a ton of options as it will be for his use, but I would prefer one with a rechargeable battery, if possible.

Thanks!

PS for the right price, I could even buy two! I would not mind replacing my Olympus too.

I never think of Craigslist />

I found this one on Amazon. I may buy it for myself, as I still like having a small point and shoot around, (don't like the AA batteries though). He's pretty careful so he could probably use it or I can let him continue with my old one for now.

Canon A1300

I'll check Craig's list too.

Canon's are awesome! Though I had the same issue with the battery. Got an aftermarket one for like 12 bucks. Happy!

I even got my mom one off e-bay used and it's continued to work great a few years later.

I bought the Olympus after market battery for cheap. You can feel the weight difference. I couldn't see spending $30.00 on a factory battery for an eight year old camera, thought I've no real issue with the camera. It has served me well.

Hard to find a small camera with viewfinder and lithium battery.

The older Canon's do. Though I must say the view finder kept getting smaller and smaller as years went on as the screens got bigger and bigger.

I believe my brother has a camera for my grandson. Not sure what features it has, but hey, the kid is only 6. Maybe I'll spring for a factory battery for the Olympus so that we have options. The camera is sturdy and isn't bad at all for a second camera. I looked a little more into the Canon I was thinking about and those AA batteries are a PIA.
