mice? :(
After installing the supercharger yesterday I was slowly putting my car back together (rear deck, bumper, etc). During the reinstallation of the rear-deck I happened to notice some weird black dots...closer inspection proves to be mice poo... any suggestions? I don't really relish the idea of a furry passenger and I can't really leave a bunch of mousetraps throughout my car.
On the other side, it is now too warm at night to really force the little pest out if I park outside.

Where did you notice the poop? In the trunk?
If so, try a once-over with some Armor All or some sort of strong-smelling cleaner. Most cleaners drive my cat away, let alone something waaaay smaller than a cat.
Just make sure there is no spilled food or drink that is attacting them, and avoid using anything on any of your car's surface that has any kind of glycols in it.

Easy fix is to use a handfull of mothballs in each of a few old socks, and then tie a knot in the sock above the mothballs. Put a couple of these in the trunk, in the interior, and one in the front snout of the airbox (as they love to set up camp in there). I leave the end of the sock sticking out of the hood so I remember it's there!
Next, put a half dozen mousetraps baited with peanut butter around your car in your garage, and tend the traps daily. Once you stop catching mice make sure you change the bait every two weeks, in case any new mice come along.
This system works!
Forget the ultrasonic mouse repeller gizmos, they are not effective enough on their own. In fact used in tandem with the above regimen I question whether they even work at all as I used a big commercial grade ultrasonic unit and I still trapped dozens of mice this winter. So, they were either deaf or did not care about the ultrasonic noise.
Kind Regards, Chris
PS: I have heard from numerous people that this was a very bad winter for mice problems.

That's some great ideas - thanks! I'll give that a shot.
