Default Rattle when cold.

My s2k has a nasty rattle when cold. Once warm it is OK. It only seesm to rattle first thing in the morning after cooling all night.

It appears to be the cat.

I have spoken to a mechanic who thinks that because it only occurs when cold it may be repairable with a little 'pinching' up of the casing. Apparently this is a common fix for BMWs.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Steven, you want to get a dog, mate. Tie its lead to one of the alloy wheels - it'll keep the cats away.
Don't forget to untie it before you drive off, though ....

Dan, reminds me of that scene from the National Lampoons where they drive half-way across America with the family dog tied to the rear 'fender' of the car. They suddenly realise - get out and just the lead left!!!!
