Default Need a beater quick

Well, the 90 CRX seems to be a bit too marginal for me to take a risk on it. This puts me back in the market for a beater for my son. If anyone has a beater to dump, or knows someone looking to move a beater, let me know. I'm looking at beaters in the range of a few hundred up to $2,000. But please don't try to sell me a $500 beater for $2000. I know the difference.

No thanks Julius. The repairs and maintenance in the first month would be more than I want to pay for the whole car. Plus, gas mileage is important.

I have a whole list of shitboxes from Craigs list to call. This should be fun. I cna hear it now:

"Its like new, really. It only has a problem with engine when it gets warm. White smoke comes out of it. But that's only antifreeze. If you keep a gallon in the trunk and fill up the radiator every other day, you'll be fine. And it makes a nice sweet smell too."

Sorry abut the miscommunication on the other post. actually if i wasn't so strapped right now from the house expenses i'd love to upgrade alicia and offload her corsica. but alas I've got nothing for you. as an aside why is the CRX too marginal? safety issues like brakes or just too many expected replacement costs?

Thanks Teddy. My only concern is when those things need work it is very costly. Do you know much about the car?
