Default New guy here, need some help

Hey guys. New here, my father just bought an S2000 on a whim, and naturally being his son I'm going to be the one that has to take care of it.

Because I wasn't involved much in the decision process to buy this thing, I don't really know much about the car. It's a 2002 with a Comptech S/C kit & Comptech exhaust. When poking around I also saw a Greddy management box under the driver's seat. From what I've read, Comptech is a good choice for forced induction, so I guess that's a plus.

Anyway, I'm going to need some help first to get a handle on what this car has. Then I'm going to need to find someone I can trust to do work on it, as I'm sure it'll need work in the future. Can anyone recommend me local shops that know the S2000? I'm in Enfield CT, but anywhere in Northern-ish CT and Western MA are reasonable.

Thanks guys!

Welcome!

It's further than what you are asking for, but many of us go to Scott from Ballistic Motorsports. Problem is he's in NH. He's a Community Organizer here and I'm sure you'll meet him one way or another.

That being said, you have any pictures of the ride?

I wouldn't mind going somewhere farther than my area if he's the best, however, 2h 40m away may be a bit far for general things. Perhaps it would be worth the ride up to have someone give it a once over and to give me some piece of mind. No pics other than a crappy cell phone one I took once I got home last night. More tonight when I get home from work if you're interested.

PS: the hood isn't open or warped in any way, just a crappy picture.

Cool! Come to think of it, I haven't seen any S2000s in the area at all. I broke my camera last night trying to take pics (dropped it... oops), but it's a pretty stock looking Silverstone S2000.
