New Insurance Coverage.

now being young and having a record.. on the sti i pay 5k/yr
The new rates went into effect in April, so if you were a January renewal, as we are, you don't see the rates until you renew. I don't expect a huge drop. We still carry a $500.00 deductible on collision and $300.00 on comprehensive, and higher liability coverage (don't want to get sued for our house)
so our cost may be a bit more than some. With clean records, we paid around $1500.00 last year for the S. Since we live in the "country" our insurance costs are a bit lower.
BTW, any of you young guys buying a home, be SURE to increase your policy limits. Cheap insurance is no bargain if you cause an accident, it can bite you in the A$$. You need to cover your A$$.

Not sure what the S will cost this year versus last, as it's on a separate policy that doesn't renew for another couple of months. But, I just got the renewal on the other vehicles, all with full coverage and $500 deductibles.
Dakota: was $733 and is now $701
Scion: was $1258 and is now $1149
Yamaha: was $182 and is now $160
Keep in mind that there are credits of $99 on the truck and $7 on the bike (be still my heart), and a $210 surcharge on the xB.

I have huge deductibles on Car and Home to save $$$ because I don't mind eating $2000 or so. But my liability limits are higher than normal.
Yeah maybe my point dropped
