Default New Insurance Coverage.

I just recieved a new coverage for my S2k. $1,232/yr minimum full coverage compare to last year from April to November was $1,800, both with $1k deductable. I think I will keep my car insure through out winter, since it's so much less now.
How much do you guys pay for your ??

Oh theres so many threads out there about this and the thing is there are many variables that go into this. Since I have a DD. My S is considered a secondary car. Also I don't have a record.

did this reduction come from your step dropping or just the new MA policy? Mine is about $1,800 a year right now but I have a little record.

The new rates went into effect in April, so if you were a January renewal, as we are, you don't see the rates until you renew. I don't expect a huge drop. We still carry a $500.00 deductible on collision and $300.00 on comprehensive, and higher liability coverage (don't want to get sued for our house) so our cost may be a bit more than some.

With clean records, we paid around $1500.00 last year for the S. Since we live in the "country" our insurance costs are a bit lower.

BTW, any of you young guys buying a home, be SURE to increase your policy limits. Cheap insurance is no bargain if you cause an accident, it can bite you in the A$$. You need to cover your A$$.

Not sure what the S will cost this year versus last, as it's on a separate policy that doesn't renew for another couple of months. But, I just got the renewal on the other vehicles, all with full coverage and $500 deductibles.

Dakota: was $733 and is now $701
Scion: was $1258 and is now $1149
Yamaha: was $182 and is now $160

Keep in mind that there are credits of $99 on the truck and $7 on the bike (be still my heart), and a $210 surcharge on the xB.

I have huge deductibles on Car and Home to save $$$ because I don't mind eating $2000 or so. But my liability limits are higher than normal.
