Default New set of wheels....

Trade in my Nissan Xterra for something a bit more practical for commuting 75+ miles a day... Loved the X but my wallet didn't! I also don't want to put that kinda of mileage on the S if I can help it... Few times a weeks is OK but not everyday!

Anyways, picked up a 2009 Scion xB w/ 10k on the clock... Fits the bill and is a bit different looking... Finding it pretty polarizing with people but I like it and its far more comfortable then my Xterra ever was. Plenty of power for it's size and the interior is spacious... Not to mention I am already seeing MPG almost twice what I would get in the X Loving it...

Needs a detail, plan on tinting the front windows, and another set of rims come spring, current ones will be retired to winter duty... Other then that it will be staying stock...

Oh here is a pic from the Dealership...

Nice xBox!

I wish there were more wagons on the market. These things are about as close as you can get in the under $20k range. Frankly, I'm amazed sedans are still the most popular body style in the US... just not as practical as something with a liftgate.

If you're shopping for style/looks, get a 2-door. Anything else, get a liftgate on it. Good job!

Haha, I always said the person who designed the Nissan Cube just put a Honda Element or a Scion XB in a hot oven and voila. A melted cube.

^Thanks!
Yeah that was part of the decision making... Under 20k, good gas mileage, under 25k miles and can carry my mutt (90lbs yellow lab and still growing!!) comfortably... I drove a bunch of cars... Sedans just didn't do it for me... Two doors weren't working... then it was on to hatch type options... xB and Fit were the only ones I would consider... Drove both back to back... xB wins, I just thought the Fit was under powered (even in Sport trim) and i felt weird visually to me.

I have always been a fan of wagons, my all time favorite car I have owned was an 86 Volvo G wagon... GREAT CAR SOOOO much FUN in the winter! I think in a few years once I get some cars paid off a CTS-V wagon would be considered

Still in the 'new' phase with the car but I think the 'like it' feeling will last. I would also argue the x is still has style and looks :b just not for everyone!

Every time I see the Nissan Cube, I think of the Simpsons, when Homer became Mr. Burns' assistant:

Homer:
"Here are your messages:
'You have thirty minutes to move your car.'
'You have ten minutes to move your car.'
'Your car has been impounded.'
'Your car has been crushed into a cube.'
'You have thirty minutes to move your cube.'"

(phone rings)

Mr. Burns: "Is it about my cube?"
