Thumbs down THE NOR'EASTER IS STILL ON - JUST A FEW CHANGES

Folks, the Nor'Easter is still on!

Due to the current difficult economic conditions, we have scaled back the event to reduce the cost and encourage a larger turnout. For those that have already registered, there will be a portion of your registration that will be refunded to you shortly.

Here is the schedule:

FRIDAY
Check into the hotel. New England folks will be on hand to greet you, and give you your badge, magnet and T-Shirts.
We will have a Welcome Reception at the banquet hall next door to the hotel, including 4 different appetizers. Dinner is on your own, however, the hotel has a restaurant and lounge in the same banquet hall, which will be a great place to mingle.

We will also have a hospitality suite at the hotel. IN ADDITION... New England's Zzzippyyy will be hosting a Micro Beer Tasting Event.
This will be located in our second Hospitality Suite at the hotel. Dave (Zzzippyyy) will lead us through a variety of micro brews to please the discerning palette. There will also be a blind tasting to see if you actually like Bud better than the boutique beers. Participants may be asked to contribute a modest fee to cover the cost of the beer.

SATURDAY
Legal Bill's Cape Cod drive will depart in the AM. We will tour Woods Hole, visit Nobska Light for a photo opportunity, view the Elizabeth Islands, take some twisty roads along the coast, visit Hyannisport (on a clear day, you can see the Kennedy Compound), tour the Toad Hall car museum to see the world's largest collection of red sports cars, and then enjoy a cook-out lunch stop at Legal Bill's. If time permits, we will visit the Cape Cod Winery.

Lainey & Rick's country ride Final route in the works. We may depart earlier than originally planned to include a lunch stop at a local drive in as well as other stops...to be determined as people let us know what they want. There will likely be a wine stop and possibly a brewery stop on this ride as well. There may be a second shorter route with winery and ice cream stops. This ride would be led by Chazmo. The country ride(s) and Bill's Cape Cod Ride will be back at the hotel with plenty of time to clean up for dinner.

Saturday - Banquet and awards from sponsors

SUNDAY

Tour to Battleship Cove with New England's Jeff/sireousrex, a former member of the US Navy.

If folks are interested, there may still be a group heading to the F1 track. This will be an extra cost item. Please see below.

Also, if enough folks are interested, there may also be a Sunday drive.....to be determined.

Monday

Track event at New Hampshire International Speedway (NHIS) with Sports Car Driving Association (SCDA). This is a seperate event with a seperate charge. Look here: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=565532

So, how much will it cost for the reception, banquet, T-shirt and magnet, awards and other goodies? Well, the NES2KO organizing committee has worked very hard to reduce the price, while delivering about 95% of what we originally offered.

NEW PRICE: Driver's Registration Fee: $70.00
NEW PRICE: Passenger's Registration Fee: $65.00

THE HOTEL IS AN EXTRA CHARGE, BUT A HOTEL STAY IS NOT REQUIRED. PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU ARE NOT STAYING AT THE HOTEL, YOU SHOULD NOT DRINK BEYOND THE LEGAL LIMIT.

If you are interested in going to F1Boston Outdoors for Karting
or participating on a Sunday drive, please note you are interested while registering. If you have already registered, please send one of us a PM or email letting us know.

F1Boston Outdoors Karting Pricing
Arrive and Drive...
Includes Day License.
5-lap practice race followed by a 10-lap race. Cost: $38.00
3-Race Package: $85.00
Includes a 5-lap practice race followed by 3 10-lap race.

Thank you to those who have registered. For those who have not, there is still time.

Come and join the fun.

Edited by Legal Bill to be more better!

More info, but no additional smilies?

Thanks, Bill.

If you want to stay at the hotel you need to book a room and pay for it, you do not have to stay at the hotel to participate, the fees are for banquet dinner, t shirt and magnet.

If you want to do karting express interest when you register. Or if you want to do another drive on Sunday instead, let us know that too on the form.

If you have not already registered (and paid for karting like early signups) you will have to pay for that separately if you are interested. We'll have more details on that.

Track is a completely different event and organization: you have to register with the organization putting on the event....

I registered, but there is a problem. It gave me a total of $135 when I only registered for a driver.

Steph will not wear the T shirt or be interested in any of the events, so I am not going to pay $65 just for her to eat dinner with us at Whites.

How do I get this changed? TIA

Jeff we didn't plan an "a la cart" event, it's a PIA to handle things that way. The $65.00 covers appetizers at the reception on Friday, her T shirt and the banquet on Saturday. With a smaller group we had to pay for bartender set ups and the like....things the function hall would waived if we had the larger group.

Not sure if Bill or Cubby can help you on this. Send them a PM.
