Not being a gun owner, I'd think for improved safety, I'd keep the chamber empty. But then, I guess I'd trade half a second and 1 less round to prevent an exploded testicle.

That sucks. Why he would have it cocked and set for single action I do not know. having it in double action would have been just as fast on the draw. I agree 100% with always having one in the chamber, but no need for it to be cocked as well. I don't like that particular weapon for concealed carry. I swear by Glock myself. DA only on all their weapons and several different internal safeties to make sure you don't shoot your junk off
