The official Get Steve into an S2000 thread!
All of us know how great a guy Steve is. This is the type of guy who would take his shirt off to give to another member. Steve constantly goes out of his way to do things for other people. It is tough to find someone with a bad thing to say about Steve. Steve is also an avid animal lover and contributes to local animal shelters regularly. Steve is a democrat, but I won't hold it against him

Steve has owned two S2000 over the years. A yellow AP1 that he had in the early days of S2ki and later on a bad ass white AP2 with tan leather.
Unfortunately, Steve had to make some tough decisions and ended up getting rid of the car in order to get his finances together and buy a house.
After getting rid of the S, Steve remained very active with S2ki and is always willing to help out s2000 owners with all kinds of stuff. I remember him telling Shug about an ECM warranty issue that saved him big dollars. There have been many times I have seen Steve drenched with sweat to help someone else with their S2000.
It has been done in other forums before and I think it is a good idea to show Steve our appreciation for his dedication to the club and give him a great gift!
Apparently, there is an '00 Silverstone for sale for around $10k at a local dealer. I think if we can get a few heads together we can each donate $50 and save up enough to get Steve a good way to this S2000.
40 * $50 will equal $2000. I think Steve can get $5000 for his lude on trade and then he will be almost there with a few bucks out of pocket.
If we can get 40 members to donate the $50, we will meet our goal. Anything more is gravy.
If you have been helped by Steve just one time, he probably already saved you more than $50. Let's pay it back!!!
Sign up here if you are willing to donate $50 to the GET STEVE BACK INTO AN S2000 fund!!!!
No money will be collected until we see that we can make it!
I have imported the list of people who are willing to donate from the original thread on this idea which has a link to the S2000 as well:

I'm in but I want a favor to be named later from Steve

Sweet!!!
I am sure Steve will be able to oblige!!!!
Does it include whipped cream by any chance?

Adding your name to the list!
Nope, no whip cream
Nothing like that at all.
I actually have two favors in mind, I'll let him choose which one he feels is the lesser of two evils
Has anyone asked Steve whether he wants an S2000?

Just to correct your math from the other thread, Jeff...
50x40=2000 not 3000.
Don't know if the 1000 less than you thought impacts this at all...

And, using KBB like Ellen did, I would say Steve can EASILY get $5k for his Lude and probably a lot more so this is a very conservative estimate.
That would make the total $7k+ he has to play with.
then Steve would jump into an S2000 for around $3k out of pocket. Even less if he sells the red Barron because he won't need it anymore for top down cruises.
I know that he knows where to find a great set of snow tires
, so he can drive it all year.
