I don't think it is so much of that breed being dumb (although that contributes ) as much as the people who generally tend to own them are retarded. But, man you are a cool and hardcore SOB if you walk one down the street with a big thick chain around it's neck. you know, the kind of chain they sell at Home Depot... Poor dogs who get stuck with idiot owners just because of their breed.

I should clarify. The and would be for the dog's owner. Dogs aren't born that mean, they're made that way.

To a certain extent you are right. All dogs, and some notably more, have a fight drive. If not balanced by a strong pack drive (the desire to follow and be a part of the pack), disaster can strike. Even though well domesticated, we must remember that dogs are animals and have the same drives as their counterparts in the wild like wolves and dingos. Some breeds have been bred to exhibit certain traits more than others. Take the bloodhound, who has been bred for his uncanny nose and long ears that droop over the ground to channel in the scent. The same is true for the $h1t bull, who has been bred to... well, fight. Still man's fault, so I agree with you there. Even if a pit was bought and raised by a loving family, I would never consider it 100% trustworthy to not show aggression.

This was on S2000 Atlanta the other week. Crazy stuff. Dogs must of had a very loose leash. There is a leash law around here so dogs wouldn't last long. We even have a shit law or pick up after your pet for the PC crowd.
