I live in Milford. Suggestions depends upon what you can afford! Milford/Orange are nice towns. Stratford is good too. Every town has it's good and bad areas but I would NEVER live in New Haven. Not a fan. Work sure. Live never.

East gets expensive.

If your in the area let me know I would be happy to meet up some time. Especially once you get settled in.

Hehehe. We call it "Bleepo."

I wouldn't live in New Haven either. I agree with Ryan, I'd head East, especially because it's cheaper.

I live in Niantic, which is 30-35 min from New Haven. Westbrook is a beautiful small town on the coast that's 10 minutes closer.

Milford is nice. Used to be affordable. New Haven is a good place to work though.

Just thought I'd bring this thread back. It has been a few crazy years of work, then being unemployed, etc. But I hope your suggestions are still good because I'm moving to CT (working in New Haven). See you guys in April. Don't hesitate to wave at the Rio AP2!

If your job in New Haven & you don't want to use your car or buy a beater to go to work then stay in New Haven. Live walking distance to your job.
You can't get two things at same time. Every city has upside and downside....not only in New Haven.

or...you can live in GRENNWICH & FAIRFIELD but expect Ferraris-Lambo-Benz on the road & no bus.
