Thursday, Friday and Saturday we went out (2 days over in your state). I didn't leave the house Sunday or Monday. Supposed to be 49 and mostly sunny today so I'm going to try and get out for a cruise and a walk.

I still have to find the recycling center which I promised to do while the landlady is gone. I was thinking I would take a cruise out that way today and then go tomorrow with the "big" car

Supposed to actually snow again tonight - 2/3" so I will probably drag the car cover out again. Not much longer though. So far parking with 3 cars in the yard has not been an issue since she has a Matrix and both mine are even smaller.

Do not put that cover on unless the car has been completly washed and dried first!
A cover over the top of a dirty car will cause WAY MORE damage than just letting the car get snowed on.

Yes, the Den Mother already reminded me of that

I may have to leave it off just because I can't afford $10 every time I want to wash the car and that's every time you drive it this time of year

There IS a hose outside here though which is promising! Hoping landlady will get that working when it warms up a little more. Right now the only option is self serve place down the street.

Minimum $5 so to to it right you have to feed in close to $10, especially if you want to fill a bucket and do it with a wash rag in between using their wand.

Tadashi misses his garage

Do you actually drive Tadashi through a car wash?

$10 would buy a bucket, a bunch of microfiber rags and some soap, and then there would be no cost to wash the car all summer. And, if you don't have the ability to wash the car in the apartment driveway find one of the you-operate-spray-wand car washes and just take your supplies with ya, a couple bucks in quarters should do the job.

I guess I was not clear on what Self Serve means Get out of the car, use the wand and spray the car, no drive thru. I have a nice bucket - it actually folds up to take up less room in the trunk.

I have my own soap, wheel cleaner, brush, wash chamois, bug spray, etc.

The car wash is $5 to start. Then you fill bucket, wash car, do bug spray etc. Then you have to pay ANOTHER $5 to start it again to rinse So - $10 every time you wash the car.

The days of the $3 do it yourself wash are LONG gone Doug

When I took my dust cover off last night there was a tiny bit of dust on the trunk lid and the cover itself let off a big cloud of dust. I'll need to give that guy a big cleaning before using it again. Better in the cover than on the car though, paint still had a nice wax feel to it from the October cleaning

I haven't seen anything like that in VT for many years

Maybe washing the car will offset the higher gas prices when I move to WG
