to posting any but your own email addresses and phone numbers on here.

Yes, you can get the info, many times, from 411 or elsewhere, but it's not up to any of us to share that info with the world...

I've posted my cell phone number prior to our cookout/drive, but I always remove it right after. I don't want my address, home or cell number or my last name on the internet. This forum is not a private as we might think it is.

I don't see how they could scam you with cash. It is weird they would drive 6 or 7 hours for wheels though.

Ummm, no it is not...

Depending on fuel economy there could be a financial savings over paying for shipping, and then factor in the potential damage during shipping, oh, and if picked up, the person with the cash can always say no thanks, these don't look as good as you said, if they are shipped once they arrive basically you are stick with them.

I drove 384 miles, about 6 hours one way, to West Virginia to meet airgate when I bought his AP1 wheels, and I would do it again in a second for the right opportunity.

I was so looking forward to Ellen debating this...

I don't think there is a single person here who would wonder if she would or would not jump in her car and drive that far for a set of original S600 wheels.

I got lots of wheels Now if there was a great condition convertible or hard top for the S600 I would certainly drive 384 miles right now Or a set of fenders... or floor pans... or (long list of stuff I need)

Exactly my point, if it was something you did indeed really want I think it is very easy to understand why one would travel so far. And, when you factor in the cost of shipping bulky items, if you drive a gas sipping vehicle t can become cheaper too.

I know I'm ready for a road trip

But you don't have a gas sipping vehicle I'll drive you in my Civic - 40 mpg at 80 mph

We drove to Nova Scotia to pickup the first S600. It was 2 straight days and 1/2 the nights in a nasty old 85 Ranger that kept backfiring and spitting flame. On the way back I was praying the boat would not sink with my car in the hold

I hope we don't get very much snow today I wanna go to tech day tomorrow. I need a road trip too among other things.

I get to "babysit" today for a a couple hours... my landlady has an adorable 15 year old daughter who is home from school this week. And we have a plumber scheduled to come and do some work on the pipes today to add a water meter I think.

And for some reason my landlady did not want to leave her daughter alone with the plumber I get to go hang out on her side of the house for 2 hours today until she is home from work or the plumber is done. Hopefully my DSL works through the wall that separates our 2 apartments, otherwise 2 hours w/o s2ki

I'm hoping she's worried because the plumber is cute... Like Mike on Desperate Housewives

Yes, I know, however, if things work out like I'm hoping, my road trip will be in one of these, or somethoing close to it.

And no, I'm not saying anymore, other than the gas savings for not driving the Titan more than covers the weekend rental, and it eliminates all the miles being put on my vehicle.
