Default removing a tick

So yesterday, most of the day I was helping my father out in the yard. I did take a brake and went out for a joyride with Aneta on my brothers R6.
Couple of hours later, got back and started working again. (cleaning the yard, leaves, branches etc.) Last night I started feeling a pain on my hip, above the belt line and noticed it was a tick. So Aneta pulled it out, however a small part, I think its head stayed back deeper, so she tried to remove it using sewing needle, which didn't help. Should I go to my doctor with that or to a walk in clinic?

Call your Dr's office and ask them if you should come in. I go to my primary care doc for things, never been to a walk in clinic.

Tommi,

Call your doctor right away! At least talk to the nurse. Some ticks carry Lyme disease. You will never know until it is too late. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lyme_disease

It is quite serious actually.

no worries it will come out on it's own and while thomas is correct - some ticks do carry lyme disease MOST do not and the ones that do are so small you wouldn't know it and the chances of catching lyme is very very small..

heck i've pulled 30 ticks off my cat last week and i am pretty sure i didn't catch lyme

next time get yourself some

Tommi
I'd probably go see the doc.
Even if Lyme isn't there that sort of site can get infected pretty easily.
Not life threatening but pretty annoying nonetheless.
Wipe it down with some rubbing alcohol fairly soon to disinfect the area.
