The risk is infection otherwise I wouldn't worry. Lyme disease is carried in very small deer ticks - which you normally don't notice until a week or 2 later by its signature bullseye rash. At this point, rubbing alchohol and some antibiotic ointment - you should be fine, whats left will work its way out.

I'd probably go see the doc.
Even if Lyme isn't there that sort of site can get infected pretty easily.
Not life threatening but pretty annoying nonetheless.
Wipe it down with some rubbing alcohol fairly soon to disinfect the area.
I did use rubbing alcohol right after it was taken out and applied bandage that was soaked in the alcohol

I had one make it's home on the edge of the back of my ear.....Rick yanked it out...it hurt. Not much flesh on the back of one's ear.

I made sure to wash the area and used antibiotic ointment on it for several days. No problem.

Deer ticks are really, really small. You likely had a wood/dog tick on you, no Lyme disease from them.

Meh, i have lyme disease, it's overrated. :-)

I usually use a lit cigarrette to remove a tick. Nasty things.

Drinking a massive amount of Vodka should take care of the possibility of infection.

The long term effect on your liver?.......Not so sure.
