Default S2000s at Import Wars

It was nice meeting all of you today. All the people I meet were really cool and down to earth. Its cool to know most S2000 owners aren't stuck up like some BMW people I know. It sucked that I couldn't run the 1/4 mile but, I just hit the 600 mark. And wasn't going to embarrass myself not having practiced one launch. Well hope to meet up with all of you again sometime.

It was also great meeting you .

So how did 9K feel on the way home? you should be grinning from ear to ear

It was also great to meet Porsche951 , Seung , and two other gentleman one in a black and a susuka blue (I'm sure they will be checking the board maybe I can get their names down)

Dana , Miranda ,Ben (even thought I didn't see a whole lot of you guys ,every time I tried to go over to the stands my class was called so sorry if I wasn't to social) and Aaron I had fun with cha sweet ride( maybe you will let me have a go at her )

As for me I think I was the quickest S there with my best being a 14.4 flat which eliminated me as I broke out from a dial in of 14.5 .I also almost ate a gofer (ya you hear me right a gofer) as I crossed the finish line it ran out in front of me ,lucky the other guy wasn't next to me as I swerved into the other lane to avoid him.

Scott,
Last year I hit a racoon at about 50mph and did about $1500 in damages (I had a car behind me and a car to my side so had no choice but to hit it), and cant imagine the damages you would have had hitting the gofer at about 100mph!
It seems like the track was slow yesterday....everyone seemed to be losing a lot of time at the start line just spinning away. I think you and Aaron were spinning your rears all the way through first gear....same thing with the Ferrari, just couldnt hook up.

Its because they don't spray like they should. I have come on the nights where all the big V8 show up and they spray after every car. But yesterday they barley used the spray, I don't know why but for some reason I don't think they take the imports seriously.

When you say spray after each car that is only water for the burnout box .When they treat the track it is with VHT and only need to do it once or twice for the day. They did not do it yesterday at all , this is the first time they did not do it for import wars

omg! that was so much fun!!!

and nice meeting you guys, Twiztid and S2000boy-

it was my first drag racing experience and... boy, how embarrassing it was when i was just standing still even after the green light came out, not knowing when to launch my car! hahahahaha.

i got something like 14. 92 the third try- and i was against this 12 sec supra turbo!
but not bad for the first timer, eh? and with s- 03s.

i'll post some pics soon guys- i took about 110 pictures.

Yes the track was horrible. That 360 Modena ran a 13.8 don't they run low 12's? My first run I dumped at 6k and just sat there and burned for what seemed like forever. My second time out I dumped at only 4k my launch was better but I was so far out of V-tecland I couldn't recover. Ran 15.6's both times.

P.S. Nice to meet all of you I hadn't met before.

Well, considering the announcer was calling practically every third car a CRV, I dont think they were very well prepared for the Imports this year. The worst was when he called an S2K a Miata

He also called a couple of Supra's Celica,He had no clue, just another reason that showed me that they could care less.
