sand blasted windshields
anyone who has lived in new england long enough knows how pitted your windsheild can get from sand and all those little itty bitty nasty rocks.
So short of a rock breaking the windshield "accidently" has anybody got a fix for it. I'm driving east into the sun now in the AM and can't see crap. ( on the winter beater not the toy)

no need to toss a brick though your windshield because Mass insurance WILL pay for a new winshield due to pitting at no charge (once a year) just call your agent
This is true.Pitting they will change your windshield once a year.
Cracks... they will replace with no limit per year. I know this one as a fact... on my old POS SUV... I had the windshield replaced 11 times in a two month span one winter... My insurance company said I hit their new record!
And yes... this was all for free... and no... these cracks were not small... and my premiums did not go up.

Hey Ben
they are all pretty much the same i prefer the ones that will come to your office and preform the work on site (unless it's too cold for the adheasive to set-up)
Glenn will chime in but i'm pretty sure he took his S to Honda north and they even gave him a Honda one
whereas most will use an aftermarket windshield

Which place did you guys recommend before?
I just had the glass replaced in my 4runner. The installer, JN Philips, used PPG glass and it's really wavy with some obvious distortion lines. If I weren't so lazy, and my truck so old, I'd take it back. But I've got better things to do than sit there for another 2 hours.
My S is also in need of a windshield. But the dealer isn't an option with Commerce insurance. Glen--just out of curiosity who is your insurer?
