Default The Shock Doctrine

I thought this was an interesting read...and seems to explain a lot of things...including the most recent Wall Street crisis...

Another conspiracy theory?

I take exception to calling it the "un-patriot act". People want to be protected from terrorism, but yet they don't want to. Which is it?

Maybe someone can come up with a way that the governemt can just "know" what the terrorists are up to without any investigation so no one is inconvenienced.

I don't want to be protected from terrorists/terrorism....I just want them pushing daisies/or poppies (depending on where they bite it.

Oh, sure, protection from "terrorism" would be great...oh wait, Osama is still alive and Bush doesn't even care to look for him...meanwhile...we invaded a country on false premises and blamed Iraq for the terrorism, which was also a lie. That doesn't sound like protecting terrorism to me...

Really? What are all those troops and planes on the border of Pakistan and Afghanistan about?

The Sept 11 attacks happened in 2001, are you implying they are finally doing something about it after 7 years? In my opinion, I think it has more to do with the regime change than terrorism at this point with regards to Pakistan.

As much as I dislike the current administration, I don;t think for a second that US powers have not looked for him.

I can imagine some ballsy/brave men in Afganistan who wold like nothing better than to be the person who puts a high velocity, fragmenting round into Osama's head....anyway the pressure seems to have rendered Osama less relevent in global terrorism....and who really knows.....he could have been fragged years ago.
