I was just thinking about this. I'd like to keep it open to non members, but I don't like the brand new members who sign up and then first thing, they post stuff for sale. I want to think it through, talk to Cubby, and then I'll start a dreaded Poll.

okie dokie

i think 99% of the folks here are members of s2ki anyway so it would only affect a small % of people here

i would suggest that even if it's open to guests - that they be local guests though

That's a good idea. I was thinking the guest would have to be vouched for by a member, but I'm not sure how well that would work out.

I think requiring membership to sell things in the NE forum would lessen opportunities to get a good deal on something for everyone else. Why pay for membership here when you can just list your items on craigslist for free? Also, I really don't care if someone is vouched for or not in the NE forum since the deal would most likely transpire in person as opposed to an anonymous ebay-like transaction.
