I've been thinking we should start making a list of reasons why so many current owners want to sell their S. We can sticky it on top and word it as a disclaimer so potential S owners know what they are getting into.
I think Ben is the only S owner I know that traded up his S for something better. And that this damn weather is making people think about selling their S.

Maybe since the design is heading into its sixth year the S is no longer as "special" as it was when it debuted? Not that I agree though and I plan on attending my 50th anniversary with my wife in my S.
But even I have been oogling over Porsche's lately and the idea of owning a 911 makes my heart race. So like Ben, if I were lucky enough to step up to a Porshe it would be a tough choice to keep the S.

It sounds as if the primary reason people sell their S is to buy their first home. IMO, that's the best decision anyone could make.
If it's a choice between a car and a home, the home is the best choice.
Since we are Vintage and already have the home, we'll hang on the the "S" until we are too old and can't get in and out of it anymore.
There are a few guys over in the Vintage section who swear they will never sell their "S"s. They are still mourning over other sports cars sold due to the responsibilities of life, so now that they have a roadster once again, they're going to hang on to it.
