Spring Cleaning
Well now that the weather has been somewhat tolerable the past week or so I look forward to hopefully getting my S on the road very soon once the sand and salt goes bye bye. This is the first winter I kept my S in storage and it has not been started up since January2 where the previous 2 years I would start it up 2 or 3 times a week and let it run for about 45 min but after reading some threads on winter storage it just seemed wiser to not start it at all for winter. Is there anything I should do before I start it up or should I just turn the key and fire her up. The fist thing I do plan on doing besides a nice wash is change the oil any other suggestions?
Yes you would want to add some dry gas to the tank, change the oil(nows the best time because 90% of the oil is now in the pan
), likewise I would change all the rest of your fluids while your at it because all the junk has for the most part made its way to the bottom and will drain out very nicely, check your tire pressure, check you plugs and wires and so on... (might not be a bad idea to bring it to the dealer to have the valves adjusted)
Give the car a good once over, I pretty much do a full tune up each spring, just to be safe and to start the year off right

Visual Inspection for mouse nests, especially in the airbox. Now I use an old sock filled with mothballs and a knot tied above the mothballs, in the airbox.
Yes, it's better to drive it under load for at least 20 minutes if you are going to start it up.
I like to store for the month or two of terribly cold weather with only a quarter tank of gas, and then the first time I drive it I go straight to the gas station for a fillup of fresh gas. Empty tank condensation is not a problem in the extreme cold of Jan/Feb, and this deals with the stale gas issue.
Mine are out of storage as of today! All filled up with fresh gas, and driven extensively today.
Kind Regards, Chris

i reconnected the battery...did a once over of the engine bay and took the socks out of the air intake and exhaust tips...started right up. set the clock and presets in the radio and lowered air pressure down to 34psi and off i went. spent the day driving once i got out of work. very very nice...but now she's dirty...i'm so unhappy about that.
All ive done so far is fresh oil-change, diff fluid change, new fuel-filter, new AC filter, and a new air filter in the form of a CA-Intake is on the way.
I think i may do tranny fluid next just for good measure.
