Ice doesnt work for me. It causes me to tighten up and make things worse, but your right that ice is often suggested over heat.

Seriously, find a good massage studo. The people I go to I believe use the shiatsu (not to be confused with the Shitzu ) method. I can go in barely able to turn my neck and with huge knots in my back and come out an hour later relaxed. +1 called to get me an appointmnet for this Saturday.
