Pretty warm and all rain here. I worked from 5 to 1 and it was sooo slow. There were a ton of accidents on the highway, but the troopers handled those so it was quiet in the city. Boring!

My roof started leaking in one spot though

So here it is, 5:30 a.m. and my residence for the next 2 days (or more) is
the Holiday Inn in Nashua.
We should have a beer at Killarney's. Plus appetizers are half off before 7pm.

Lost power at 11pm last night. Had to wear ear plugs because the sounds of my UPS systems beeping was driving me mad. Woke up to still no power and it was still 64 degrees in the condo. Multiple downed trees on the way to work and no coffee.

Looking at the radar, it looks to be about another 1/2 hour and than the precip will stop. Maybe a tad bit more later today.

So looks to be over soon Good thing too as the ice outside my window is weighing on the tree limbs.

Yeah, I am going to go up and inspect this weekend. The previous owner had told us they had a leak in that spot before. I guess the heavy wind/rain brought it back.

similiar story for me mark. we lost power at 2:30 am but i didnt wimp out and run out of the house! haha we only lost about 2 degrees of heat during the night (went from 60 to 58) so thats good! specially for my old crappy windows. about 3/4 an inch of ice on everything

on my way to work this morning
i hit 5 cop road blocks where I had to turn around and find another way
I hit about 5 natural road blocks (trees across the road)
I had to drive under about 6 trees (either leaning so much from the weight of the ice or literally leaning agains power lines ) one was so low I had to stick my head out the window to see if it was going to hit the roof.
I had to drive OVER 3 sets of downed powerlines/telephone lines etc
I spend about 50% of the time on the wrong side of the road due to leaning trees
I spent about 10% of the time OFF the road getting around road blocks in the road.

It was a good day to have the tundra!

wish i had a chainsaw though. coulda helped clear the roads and cut about 4 cords of word!

about 6 people in the office out of 50, can i leave yet?

^^ Im prepared, I have a generator. Its hard wired right into the house I just flip a switch and my house goes off the grid onto the generator power.

I have ample gas, ample salt for melting ice and food.

But than again Im always ready for this stuff, just habit I guess.

About the only thing i dont have is a chainsaw but than again I really only have one large tree on my property so never had a need for one. I do have a sawzall and a good bowsaw though
