Thanks everyone. Well I'm back home. In surgery for 2:45 and it was a bit more than expected. My ankle was deemed unstable so they had to shorten my ligaments as well. This just means that my recovery will be a bit longer. As of now I'm in a hard splint for the swell and next week I'll be getting a cast. As for now I'm going to sleep. Pain meds are good.

How long do the doctors figure you're going to be laid up?

Red thanks, but I won't be going anywhere soon. I'll be in bed till my follow up appointment on Tuesday in which I'll get a cast. Then another 6-8 weeks of recovery followed by going back to PT. Right now pain meds are not helping much. This sucks.

I also have a machine hooked up to my leg which helps blood flow.
