After reading the Globe the last few days, the Sox are lucky to be leaving town today.

I was actually very suprised. I would have been ok with 2 out of 5 in Fenway and happy with 3 out of 5.
So I guess you are really a happy guy now, eh?

Did you really expect different results given our pitching line up?

Yes.

Mussina has not won in at least 4 starts, Ponson is a bum, Johnson is hit or miss and Lidle is our #5.

I don't think it would have been unreasonable for the Sox to win at least 3 out of 5.

It's that time of year when I'm really looking forward to the football season. Bit of Brady and company helps ease the pain of Red Sox woo's.

I think the injury to V-tek (heh) I mean Varitek is underated. Look how bad the pitching has been since his injury, his bat is the last thing they miss..........
Even with a healthy captain, I'm not sure the Sox could of done much better to stop the Yankees train, they are rollin' right now. Funny how money helps cures the injury bug.

I thought the Sox would take three out of five going into this. I am shocked. Except for Shilling, Papelbon and Wells, the pitching staff was just plain scared of the Yankees bats. I'm disgusted with this display. Especially Timlin. He has pitched against those guys for years. He looked like a ball tossing pussy.
