Default Sylvania SilverStar headlights

So, I had a bulb burn out in my Audi (no HIDs, all halogen) and I was debating those Sylvania SilverStar bulbs I've seen advertised. I don't even know the price difference, but I'm wondering if they're observably brighter/better than standard bulbs? They claim a higher color temp (4000

I thought about it, but with 114k miles on the car, I'm not too interested in going that route.

Have them in my S2000 and they work great. Put them in my truck and one side would burn out every month!

Well, I got a pair of the Silverstars (Not the Ultra) and put 'em in yesterday afternoon, but I have yet to turn them on. I shall find out this evening. Hopefully they don't burn out too quickly... if so, back to the regulars I'll go. The previous set were almost 4 years old.

For those keeping track, the H7 bulbs cost me $38/pair, which wasn't bad considering a pair of regulars would have been close to $30. The Ultras were $50, but since they were out of stock I didn't have to make that decision. It's probably for the best.

If I like 'em, I might get a set for the highbeams in the S2000.
